ART IN POLITICS
In late 2019, Democracy Creative founder Jesse Paul Warren compiled this booklet of quotes relating to art, creativity, government, and politics. He arranged these quotes into sections that outlined five problems of democracy that art and creativity might help us solve: (1) Division, (2) Lack of Wisdom & Courage, (3) Lack of Imagination, (4) Addiction to Conflict, and (5) Ignorance. This booklet was given to an intitial list of potential supporters as Jesse aimed to launch Democracy Creative, which at that time was called “The Institute for Art In Politics.” One person this booklet was offered to was Steve Conant, who soon after donated space to Democracy Creative in The Soda Plant.
